The Finale

Alas the rumours are true. It is with sadness that we announce our final live performance at NICE N SLEAZY on Saturday 14th of July 2007 and the decommissioning of the good ship BLIMP. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last eight and a half years, especially those hardy souls that have made it to every gig - we salute you. We'll be making our entire back catalogue available to download via our MUSIC page for free over the next coming week, including our recently completed studio album Easy Listening With The High Commissioner, so keep checking as more tracks are added. On Saturday we'll be taking to the stage for the last time at 9pm sharp so get there early. Nae tears in beers noo, just a right good shindig. From Bill, JD, Ray, Gary and George we bid you good night and farewell.

Northbound

We're off to Ullapool for an intimate set at THE ARCH INN on Saturday 23rd of June 2007. We're told they like their music live, loud and liquid fuelled in the picturesqe town. We aim to please.

Last Note?

Next up we're at the 13TH NOTE on Saturday 12th of May 2007. You never know, it could be the last time we play the cave...er for a while.

T Break

We've been selected for this years T Break showcase at KING TUTS on Monday 7th of May. For free tickets please get in touch. We'll also be featured on Vic Galloway's show on Radio 1 on Thursday 26th of April.

Happy New Beer

Our first gig of 2007 will be at FAVELA on Sunday 14th of January. It's a fundraiser for THE GREAT ORCHESTRA OF CHRISTMAS, a charity for Polish children in need. Also on the bill are metal-pop philosophers THE TWISTED MELONS. Entry is free.

Feeling adventurous?

We're chuffed to announce that we'll be supporting skew-pop lounge loonies MISTY'S BIG ADVENTURE at KING TUTS on Sunday 19th of November 2006. Tickets are a fiver but there's a wee discount if you email us directly.

Lost in translation

Join us at NICE N SLEAZY on Friday 29th of September 2006 for an evening of art punk and industrial pop with three of Glasgow's finest eccentrics THE LOW MIFFS, SCUNNER and TINY LITTLE HEARTS. Sprechen sie Deutsch?

Big hair nae mair

We'll be opening for ex Little Angels frontman TOBY JEPSON at KING TUTS on Sunday 17th of September 2006. We were saddened to hear that Toby has lopped off his trademark locks. Hairspray industry bigwigs *ahem* are said to be still reeling from the news.

Live with the Five

We've been asked to support Ceilidh-funksters CROFT NO.5 at ORAN MOR on Friday 16th of June 2006. Sadly this will be one of their last gigs. They've decided to split after eight years that's seen them take their foot-stompin' dub-folk around the world. If you haven't seen them before don't miss this opportunity. The gig is part of this years WEST END FESTIVAL.

Electric Soup

Despite the fact that we were nearly fucking electrocuted when some overexcited drunkard doused us with a fire extinguisher at LIQUID LOUNGE we had a rather fine shindig. Special thanks goes to Captain Sly on towel duty. You can see us next at the 13TH NOTE on Thursday 15th of June 2006 with indie angst-groovers KESSLER and Wakefield's finest scamp-core merchants THE WHIPPETS. Jennifer Rush requests will not be tolerated.
